Prioritizing Student Wellness: Highlights from Our Dental Health Camp

At Sathya Sai Shiksha Sadan, we recognize that foundational health is integral to academic success. To support our commitment to holistic student development, we recently organized a comprehensive Dental Health and Hygiene Camp on campus.

This initiative featured the expert medical team from Kantipur Dental College & Teaching Hospital and was conducted as a proud addition to their impactful “50,000 Smiles for Nepal” campaign.

A Focus on Preventative Care and Education

Moving beyond standard routine check-ups, the visiting medical team structured the day as an engaging, educational experience. Healthcare professionals worked closely with students across all grade levels, ensuring each child felt comfortable, supported, and informed during their evaluations.

The core components of the health camp included:

  • Comprehensive Clinical Screenings: Dentists conducted thorough, individualized oral health assessments for each student, providing actionable feedback to help guide their preventative care.
  • Interactive Hygiene Demonstrations: Medical staff provided hands-on tutorials regarding proper brushing and flossing techniques, emphasizing the mechanics of daily oral maintenance.
  • Nutritional Awareness: Students participated in practical discussions detailing how daily dietary habits directly affect enamel strength and long-term dental wellness.

Extending Our Gratitude

Organizing purposeful health events enables us to extend our standard of care well beyond the classroom. We express our sincere gratitude to the visiting physicians and medical personnel from Kantipur Dental College & Teaching Hospital. Their clinical expertise and compassionate approach made this a highly beneficial and comfortable experience for our students.

We are incredibly grateful for their time and dedication to public health, and we remain committed to fostering wellness habits that will serve our students for a lifetime.
